The Data Analytics Certificate is designed to develop the skills necessary to collect, interpret and analyze data in order to streamline processes and help businesses best utilize their resources. The certificate uses Excel, Access and different databases to query data and build useful evaluation tools using Tableau Data Visualization software. The certificate is designed to track healthcare trends and provide useful data in a secure and valid process from retrieval to sharing across an organization. The certificate is designed to enable healthcare organizations to get the data they need to show an accurate story of the outcomes it tells. Students are prepared to work in any organization (business/IT/IR) with the value add of data analytics.

Admission Requirements
- Admission to Arapahoe Community College
- Valid background check, no more than one year old and valid through practicum experience
- Admission Requires one of the following
- Earned College Degree (Associate or Baccalaureate level) or
- An official transcript must be on file in Admissions and Records prior to enrolling in Data Analytics (HIT) classes towards the Data Analytics Certificate and
- Program Chair approval based on at least one year of related work experience in Business, IT, Mathematics or Sciences, or related field
- Supporting documentation must be submitted to the Department Chair and the student must be formally admitted to the program and
- Successful Completion of college-level English AND college-level Mathematics with a grade of “C” or better, OR assessed to be at college-level in English and Mathematics (see Student Resources and Services - Assessment in this Catalog).
- Students must contact the program chair for advising and program planning prior to enrolling in HIT courses.

Graduation Requirements
- All major education and other courses required for this degree must be completed with a “C” or better to meet graduation requirements.
- Apply for graduation online at www.arapahoe.edu/graduation.
- As a graduate of a Career and Technical Education program you will be contacted by an ACC employee in approximately six months to verify your employment information. This information gathering is a federal requirement to ensure that ACC receives certain federal funding.
