PSY 2333 - Health Psychology: GT-SS3

3 Credits

Focuses on an overview of the scientific study of attitudes, behaviors, and personality variables related to health, illness, and bodily systems. The course emphasizes the interaction of biological, psychological, and social factors that cause illness and influence its treatment and prevention. This is a statewide Guaranteed Transfer course in the GT-SS3 category. Note: This course was previously listed as PSY 240.

Prerequisite(s): PSY 1001  or PSY 1002  with a grade of “C” or better; Demonstrate college readiness in English; see ACC College-Level English Placement Guide.

Corequisite(s): ENG 0094 ; not required if demonstrate college readiness in English
