PHY 2111 - Physics: Calculus-Based I with Lab: GTSC1 5 Credits
Covers the physics of kinematics, dynamics, and conservation laws and requires application of classical physics to both mathematical and conceptual problems. Specific concepts covered include 1D and 2D kinematics, Newton’s Laws, rotational motion, energy and work, momentum and impulse, and simple harmonic motion. This course may also cover thermodynamics and fluid mechanics. This is a statewide Guaranteed Transfer course in the GT-SC1 category. Note: This course was previously listed as PHY 211.
Prerequisite(s): Demonstrate college readiness in English; see ACC College-Level English Placement Guide and MAT 2410 with a grade of “C” or better; or see ACC College Level Math Placement Guide.
